Joe Horne’s Stevie and Zoya animations were played as bumpers between MTV shows and programming in the late 80’s. The style is impossibly cool: a mixture of 60’s animation jazz bop, 80’s NYC despair, cut and paste audio takes, and narration provided by Russell Johnson, best known for playing the hunky professor on Gilligan’s Isle. Thrill to the tale of the disco zombies, big duce, and Planet X, with 22 minute plotlines compressed and jump-cut into 45 second snippets.
